Salesforce World Tour Sydney 2022 Highlights
The Salesforce World Tour Sydney 2022 - the first in-person World Tour event in two years - emphasised the importance of human connection, and how it drives people to do more and be more, including bringing people together and looking after one another in various ways. This includes caring for the planet, keeping each other safe, giving back to communities, and collaborating to find innovative solutions to urgent challenges.
The main event kicked off with an inspiring Welcome to Country led by Gadigal Elder Uncle Allen Madden, followed by a celebratory keynote that also called for action from Pip Marlow, CEO and EVP, ANZ/ASEAN at Salesforce. Pip also announced two exciting grants to Raise and DeadlyScience as part of the commitment to uphold Salesforce’s 1-1-1 model.
This was followed by a candid, heartwarming, and hilarious interview with Australian of the Year Dylan Alcott where he challenged the traditional idea of a stoic “leader” and seeking mental health support in the same way that bodies are trained physically.
Pip awarded a coveted Golden Hoodie to Two21 founder Kel Henderson, citing that it’s a great example of not needing to be a huge organisation to set a 1-1-1 model in action.
Building on Pip’s keynote, Gayan Benedict, CTO and VP of Customer Advisory, ANZ, discussed how to go from “wow” to “how” and why, in a digital world, you need to do more than just meet expectations to get noticed, starting with Customer 360, a single source of truth and a digital HQ.
All the way from the United States, Lynne Zaledonis, Salesforce’s EVP of Cloud and Industry marketing explained the exciting launches of new product innovations for Marketing Cloud and Service Cloud, which include more unified customer experience, connecting even more data and creating more personalised engagements.
After giving a lot of insights into the “why” and the “how”, New Zealand-based accounting software Xero and Australian beauty giant MECCA showcased the “what,” or what many of these principles and innovations look like in practice. These Trailblazers discussed how they are stitching together customer data and turning individual moments into long-term customer relationships.
Finally, the singer-songwriter and Spotify favourite Bernard Fanning rounded out the show with a live performance. He also shared his experience pitching in to the rescue and clean up efforts during the recent floods, serving as a reminder of why Pip put such a strong emphasis on sustainability and addressing a rapidly accelerating climate crisis.

What is a Digital Experience, and why is it so critical?
With so many distractions, Digital Experiences have become critical to an organisation’s success. In order for your business to truly transform, you need to think of your customer experience first and apply it to the technology, rather than the other way around.
