Alex George recently joined AFDigital as our resident MuleSoft expert.
Alex graduated with a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from James Cook University. He is well-versed in SQL, Python, Django, and Automation Testing, thanks to his role as a Data Analyst for an NGO. During his NGO stint, he was assigned to a project that followed Agile techniques and was also given the chance to learn MuleSoft. He then decided to shift his career to integration and got handpicked as one of the interns for NJC Labs Sydney, where he gained deeper knowledge about MuleSoft and how it plays a significant role in helping make integrations easier and more reliable.
He then worked as a Technical Consultant for Tquila ANZ, working with an impressive clientele in the government, healthcare, mining, and overseas sectors, consulting for MuleSoft, Salesforce, and Jitterbit.
Working with AFDigital
As a Platform Architect, Alex will be responsible for analysing customers’ existing architecture and platform capabilities to understand and present feasible and scalable MuleSoft solutions. He will lend his expertise in incorporating MuleSoft to the clients’ existing architecture to solve their various integration problems.
For Alex, one significant value his role brings to businesses is creating assets or reusable APIs that enable businesses to expand and connect different systems using assets already in place.
As AFDigital’s MuleSoft Architect, Alex aims to build a marketable MuleSoft practice and build intelligent integration solutions to help businesses scale. He believes both new and existing clients can leverage MuleSoft to transform their businesses digitally. I am looking forward to working with exceptionally talented people who give different perspectives to a problem.I am also particularly excited to handover the integration project with Scope Australia
Alex believes that the best part of his role is understanding there are currently many different end systems, and trying to find a solution which can make the businesses seamlessly connect to these and communicating with them is essential. “With MuleSoft this can be done quite easily and seamlessly as it provides so many out-of-the-box connectors which handle all the connections in the back end. That is such a joy.”
