AFDigital welcomes Tess Colman, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant.
Tess started her career in London as part of a Project Controls team, where she learned about a wide variety of CRMs used for either planning or scheduling; or risk management or cost forecasting, to working in fashion and maintaining their production CRM. Recently, she was in the not-for-profit space working on Salesforce and building their Marketing Cloud EDMs and Journeys, ensuring accessibility for individuals suffering from low vision or blindness.
Tess recently attended a networking event where she met AFDigital’s Paul Cheing and Ariston Palican, sharing her knowledge about Marketing Cloud, and was invited to an interview, and the rest, so they say, is history.
At the moment, as AFDigital’s Marketing Cloud Consultant, a huge chunk of Tess’ day is spent shadowing the team and absorbing how they work, as well as learning best practices. She also spends her free time learning about Marketing Cloud and all the Salesforce products and how these can help the company’s numerous clients. She is currently doing a “deep dive” into Interaction Studio, a tool that enables 1-to-1 engagements across all touchpoints and delivers truly relevant customer experiences.
Tess believes that the biggest value she brings to her job and to the company is her vast knowledge of Salesforce and Marketing Cloud integrations. Having stepped out of her comfort zone, she is excited to challenge herself and is looking forward to working on a project that involves Interaction Studio.
“I’m really excited to learn more from the team, I’ve only been here for 3 weeks and I could instantly tell that I’m working with an extremely intelligent group of people. If one day I’m half as smart as any of my colleagues I’ll consider that a huge win,” says Tess. She adds, “The best part of my job is the people I’m surrounded by, I feel inspired to learn in their vicinity.”
